About Allison

Allison Dayne is an actor, writer, and solo-show creator whose work blends sharp comedy with emotional excavation. Her performances sit at the intersection of theatrical storytelling and stand-up, interrogating power, desire, and the roles women are asked to perform both onstage and off. She has performed Off-Broadway and was one of the youngest writers at The Second City in Chicago, where she developed her voice in character-driven comedy and narrative structure.

Dayne has delivered a TED Talk on her original theory of comedy and has created multiple award-winning works. Her one-woman show Scorch won Best Performance at the Salt Lake City Fringe Festival, and her two-hander Unrequited: A Chekhovian Collision received the Critics’ Choice Award at the Atlanta Fringe Festival.

She wrote and starred in the short film A King’s Curtain, which became Oscar-qualified and has won Best Short at LA Film Shorts, Burbank Film Festival, AMT NYC International Film Festival, and Tampa Underground Film Festival, and continues to play the international festival circuit. The film was also covered by Deadline. Dayne continues to create bold, autobiographically inspired work designed for intimate venues and festival audiences that reward risk, wit, and urgency.
